GHG consistently exceeds SAIC's expectations by delivering award winning engineering and Information Technology (IT) support.

Situation

SAIC was awarded the Safety Reliability and Quality Assurance (SR&QA) project to support NASA's manned space flight programs. NASA's objective for this project is to ensure the safe and fruitful completion of all manned space flight activities. The successful fulfillment of this contract required teaming with a small disadvantaged business that possessed strong financial and technical credentials, and the ability to attract and retain a staff of highly qualified engineering and quality assurance personnel. GHG fulfills these requirements and continues to be a valued partner for SAIC. Throughout the life of the project, GHG has performed beyond both SAIC's and NASA's expectations.

Solution

GHG is supporting SAIC on the SR&QA project by providing an extensive portfolio of engineering, scientific, IT, mathematical, administrative, and technical writing talent. Approximately 150 GHG employees support the SR&QA project; approximately 70% of these individuals are degreed professionals, with several holding advanced degrees.

SAIC recognized the extraordinary level of talent GHG was able to provide to the SR&QA project, and chose to appoint several GHG employees to technical lead positions. GHG's ability to attract and retain top talent was a key factor in SAIC's decision to team with GHG. NASA has also acknowledged the dedication and quality of GHG's SR&QA staff. In recognition of their efforts, NASA has honored GHG employees with over 150 awards for outstanding contributions to the success of NASA's missions over the past three years.

SAIC has consistently rated GHG's program management as excellent. This rating is largely due to GHG's outstanding financial, human resource, and contract management. Keeping overhead costs to a minimum is critical for SAIC in order to stay within SR&QA budget requirements. GHG assists SAIC in meeting this requirement through cost containment and by utilizing highly competent and efficient project administration and management.

Results

Biannual performance reviews provide a definitive yardstick for determining success in achieving excellence in customer satisfaction. Based on biannual reviews, GHG has consistently been successful in exceeding SAIC expectations by achieving the highest rating "excellent" across consecutive review periods. When GHG receives excellent performance ratings, it is a significant boost to SAIC by helping ensure positive overall SR&QA project ratings.
