Abuse

and the need to defend.

When children are abused,
they cry.
When a woman is abused,
she is hurt.
When a man is abused,
he becomes defensive.
When one's body is abused,
it breaks down.
When a people are abused,
they become oppressed.
When the Mother Earth is abused,
She reacts to restore balance.

When physical abuse inflicts,
healing happens in due course.
Injury passes with time.
When mental abuse inflicts,
damage leaves invisible scars
that can stay around
forever,
leaving open emotional wounds
that may never heal.

When abuse occurs,
respect has been abandoned.
Ego is given power to block
spiritual energy.
Therefore,
Spiritual detachment occurs.
When spirit prevails,
abuse is of no need,
nor use.
