Spirituality
is not as popular as "religion"
It cannot be sold, marketed,
or even monopolized.
It cannot be charged,
bought on credit, or installments.

Spirituality cannot be canned,
bottled or packaged.
It can't be taxed or
sale price discounted.
Also, it cannot slave
or be enslaved.

No one can make a claim
or title to it along.
No one can hold it back from another,
or take only a piece of it
and leave the rest.
No one can direct it,
nor can he or she change it
if it does not suit his or her
liking or taste.

Spirituality will never be considered
"popular" or a fad.
It is constant
and will never change.
Because it is of Truth,
it cannot be coaxed or persuaded.

The message of spirituality will
be as good tomorrow
as it is today.

It needs no building or construction
in which one must bow or pray.
The poor have it
as well as the rich.

It is shared equally among all things
around and about you.
And because you have it,
it is of no greater or lesser importance
than the other things in existence.

It need not be danced to,
sung to,
or evangelized.
You do not have to fill out forms
to belong,
give an oath,
be made a member or
pay tithes to earn a quota.

Spirituality never presents barriers.
The only barriers
are the boundaries we set for ourselves--
arbitrary limits imposed
that prevent
or block
the spiritual guidance sent to us.

It recognizes you clothed or naked.
it talks to you,
and you to it,
by silent feelings.
In the quiet,
in silence,
it talks.
It has no rules,
procedures,
formalities,
no rituals,
no written laws or commandments--
only great Universal Truths to discover
to learn and
to follow.

It remembers you
even when you forget it.
It sees you as you are
and not what you want
or desire to be.

You cannot hide from it
because you are already a part of it,
and it's a part of you.
a physical and spiritual blend,
in flow and content.

Spirituality cannot be taught,
only learned from,
witnessed and experienced.

It cannot be forced
but must be entered into gently,
and only when ready.
It waits on you and not you for it.

It is old yet ageless,
for the spirit
is eternal.

The next great steps in human evolution are human awakenings . . .

The mainstay of spirituality
is the conception of nature
and the Creator
as being one and the same.
Everything in life,
in nature,
in the world around you,
is merely a different manifestation
of the Great Spirit,
differing only in fit and form
and the manner of love's expression,
the Creator's love,
and not in its basic true character
or identity.

The tree knows who it is,
as well the flower,
the fish,
the bird,
as does the mountain
and sea.

Thus,
to fully realize spirituality,
one cannot progress too far
down the medicine path of
spiritual awareness
until one has receptivity
to the statement that the
Great Spirit may be found
in everything,
and that everything is beautifully combined
and related of spiritual belief.

Thus,
one needs not approach spirituality
as if to ask permission,
but rather,
take up the harness
to pull and tug life's wagonload,
to wade, at times,
through the bog of conflicts,
of struggles,
and strife,
down the spiritual path
yet ever pressing onward,
drawing nigh to one's
final destination
as the Creator's co-partner in life;
as one to co-share
in the divine raptrue and
and meaningful manifestation
of love.

Having little or no living heritage,
the ego finds it convenient
to reduce all spirituality
to one or more 'romantic' images.
It makes the "Creator" fit our needs
rather than vice versa.

People are comfortable with
embracing the religious images
of their perceived spirituality;
because they have never gathered
the strength necessary to live their
own visions in the world.

Those who have never taken real actions
and responsibilities for their own lives,
are, now, subjecting themselves to exploring
a world built of egos--
a flimsy world fashioned by
their own fantasy and escapement.

But those who take an interest in people
and things outside the prison of
their own egos,
are on the way to the real meaning of spirituality . . .
real discovery!
